Mary Ann Knell (1950 - 2014)
Founder of The Knell Group

Beginning in 1985, Mary Ann Knell quickly became a leader in Peoria area real estate growth. She was intimately involved in several residential and commercial real estate developments along with partnering with buyers and sellers. Mary Ann's core value was to give her clients the power to live better. With hard work she consistently ranked as the top Peoria area and Illinois real estate agent. This ranking was due to a honed talent and effective implementation of efficient home buying and selling systems. After several years of a successful solo career, Mary Ann pioneered the real estate 'team' concept in Peoria to ensure her clients consistent representation. She hand-picked and trained a group of talented and energetic professionals. She was always proud of the effort and care her team took and continues to take serving the community, friends, and clients.

Mary Ann Knell had a tremendous impact on the community with her contributions to The Junior League of Peoria, the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and Family House. After the passing of her mother who was an early graduate of the OSF St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing Mary Ann and her brother established the Rose M. Crabill Scholarship and she sat on the school's board.

Mary Ann married her college sweetheart, Charles 'Denne' Knell, in 1972 and later welcomed twins in1982. Denne continues his successful attorney practice, Knell Law. Peter currently resided in New York City and Nina, with her husband and two young children, reside in Dallas, Texas.

Mary Ann moved through life with exceptional purpose, having fun every step of the way. Her legacy continues with The Knell Group.
