The Holiday season is upon us and The Knell Group thought it would be NICE (not naughty) to share a list of several area events. Central Illinois offers a wide variety of events throughout the season for young and old. Mark your calender's now!
November 26 – December 31 Opens at 5:00 P.M. daily
If you can't catch the parade, you can visit Folepi's Winter Wonderland to enjoy the spectacular holiday display in an electric park featuring both floats and lighted displays while tuning into festive holiday music while you drive. The park is opens at 5pm daily, Thanksgiving – New Year's Eve. The best days to go are Sunday – Thursday for short wait times.
November 28 – December 31 Nightly
East Peoria's Levee District will host holiday displays to include a 35' tall Christmas tree, parade floats and animated displays. The official lighting will take place on November 28th at 5:45 P.M.

Enjoy FREE PHOTO WITH SANTA, free crafts, games, activities and more. Visit with Santa and Mrs Claus and be sure to take a spin with toy trains and cars while you enjoy Santa's Wonderland.

Peoria Riverfront Museum will be showing Holiday Movie Classics during the months of November & December. Take advantage of watching one of you favorites on the big screen! Movies on the schedule include Polar Express, Home Alone, It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Check website for showtimes.
November 27 – January 1
Peoria Newest Holiday Tradition! Enjoy outdoor ice skating at the corner of Fulton St and Jefferson Ave in Downtown Peoria. Opening day kicks off after the Santa Clause parade. Be the first to take the ice and enjoy live entertainment, hot coco and more.
November 30 – December 21
Pekin's 27th annual Winter Wonderland will feature a parade, holiday performances, fireworks and carriage rides.
December 11, 12, 13 at 7:00 P.M. at Five Points in Washington
Central Illinois Conklin's Barn II Dinner Theatre will be performing A Christmas to Remember. This year's shows will take place at Five Points in Washington. Enjoy musical merrymakers with a show filled with sparkling holiday music and laugh out loud comedy routines.
December 12th and 13th, at 2:00 P.M. and 7:30 P.M. (13th only)
The Peoria Ballet's annual production of The Nutcracker is a Peoria tradition. This year they will celebrate their 50th Season. The timeless ballet is a family favorite and a lasting tradition to share with family. Show times and ticket information is available through the Peoria Civic Center.

Quickly becoming a local favorite, Wildlife Prairie Park has added a third day to this year's event. Seating is limited and advanced reservations are required. The family fun event includes a train ride through Christmas Classics, Crafts & Games, Cookie Decorating, Animal Gift Opening, and of course…Santa Claus!

Join hundreds of other runners dressed in Santa suits in a stampede through downtown Peoria to raise money for "Dazzle Downtown."

The longest running and highest rated television comes to life, live on stage. The musical featuring the world's most famous reindeer and a holly jolly case of iconic characters. Prices: $25, $35, $45 and $65.

Jump on into the 14th Annual Polar Ice Plunge at East Peoria's Boat Club. The annual event has raised more than $140,000 for local charities.
